How To Upgrade S205 Ram

Hello to all. I wanted to ask how to uprade the ram memory of the s205? Can you provide a step by step procedure with pictures for opening the rear end of the unit? And will i void the warranty for doing so? Thanks.

 Sir, after downloading and reading the instruction of the lenovo hardware manual, it seems that the replacement or upgrading of the system is not a DIY thing. I thought you just have to remove the back cover only. However, from the manual, you have to take off the keyboard and some other parts. Is what i perceived is correct?

Thanks sir if that's the case. I was not aware of this when i bought the product. I hope lenovo would redesign their s205 model so that adding ram would be easier and do-it-yourself. My unit just came in with 2gig of ram only.

To add/replace RAM, you remove the battery ... then the keyboard (3 screws, plus unlocking the connector that holds the ribbon cable) ... then the back cover.

It isn't difficult.

upgrading the ram won't void the warranty.

Thanks sir for the clarification. However, here in the Philippines, the policy is that whenever any casing part is opened or tampered, warranty will be voided.
