Hello,
I have the Ideapad S205 and I cannot boot from a SDHC-Card (Ubuntu Linux) with the internal cardreader. With an external card reader I can boot from the SDHC-Card.
Is there any solution or maybe a BIOS-Upgrade?
Thanks
Simon

There is no option for this (not in the bios and in the bootmanager). Unlike other netbooks ( e.g. Asus Eee Series) the Ideapad does not actually support booting from the internal card reader. The Idea was using a installed Ubuntu on a SDHC-Card for mobile and rough use (and keep the internal harddisk switched off), but without booting from the internal cardreader there is no chance.

The Enter Button is L shaped but a little small (width (half Size of the standard desktop keyboard), heigth is ca. 4/5 of the standard desktop keyboard), but I have large hands. The overall performance is very good. I hav bought the version with 4 GB RAM and 500 GB HDD, but I have extended the Memory to 6 GB, because of digital photography and programming.
It's also quite tricky to install Ubuntu alongside the existing windows (bootmanager grub2 is quite problematic).

The s205 sold in Taiwan is of rectangular shape! Anyone know whether this will be a problem when I want to change my keyboard to the L-shape version at a later date?http://attach.mobile01.com/attach/201102/mobile01-
