S10-2 webcam stopped working (using win7 starter)

Hi,

I bought S10-2 a month ago. Everthing was working fine. I used webcam while chatting in yahoo and  skype etc.  

But, a week ago, while chatting I found that webcam is not working. I checked everything but webcam ddt wake up.

Even in device manager, I could find it (like imaging device or Usb video device) Nothing to metion about webcam in there.

I tried to install Bison driver again but it say no device found.

Pressing Fn+esc says not installed webcam found. 

I dont knw whats gone wrong automatically.

Finally, I though to recover the system back to its factory setting expecting all wrongs will be right but result again the same. No Camera !!! situation is the same as mentioned above.

look like S10-2 never had a web cam

@@  I will mention that

          I didt ugraded the firmware for the Bison webcam.

          Win7 is on automatic update setting

          Once, I uninstalled veriface 3.6 bcz  I dont wanted to use it (but afterward camera was working for some day)

Now, I want help from you guys before i send it to the cumtomer center.

I installed the lenovo easy capture software and was able to get webcam ability, but like you I cannot see the device.

I tried this option too but unfortunately easy capture couldt find the camera too.

 today, i will talk to customer center and let see what they say...

you might try the alternate drivers too, theres the bison/chicony ones and I forget the other name

Does device manager list your camera under imaging?

You can use any webcam software to get the cam working

yawcam (yet another web cam) is popular

Hi sorry to jumped in i also had the same problem as u r.. but then i try this

 

it working again.. Try this!!

Pres Fn and esc then i also do the recovery...

Shutdown then there’s updated sign besides the turn off.. let it installed..

i took 45 minutes for shutting it down!!

Then i tried to turn it on.. Surprise the veriface reading the camera - before it is not, before the cam also not detected.. and there is no USB detected either on my Device manager

hi the same problem happened to me.. my web cam suddenly stopped working while i was chatting..

 i went to the camera drivers and installed liteon, bison, and the other one(i forgot) all over again.. after doing so a prompt pops up saying matcher does not match.. i would like to solve this problem before i send it back to the store

I too have similiar problem. My ideadPad S10-2 web cam not working. Web cam drive is also not found in my system. Is ti possible for any one to send that link to my e mail id so that I can down load that drive into my system. My e mail id - xxxxxx
