Hello,
I bought a S10-3 here in Germany. They offered the included 3g umts feature... A sim slot, where I can
put my sim card in, is existent. But, however, I can not find a modem installed in the win7 hardware...
All the drivers for the different modems were installed without any success...
So I am in doubt... Maybe there is no modem installed?? But the sim card fits in the slot. There has to be
something... (dummy slot??)
I need help...

Hi and welcome,
3G card comes as optional accessory ...there is no model, at this time with 3G WWAN UMTS card pre-installed available in germany...
Take a look inside your S10-3 thats easy.
Remove the psu and battery... Turn around your S10-3 , open the bottom lid, ..see an emtpy place where the 3G card will fit...Factory pre-assembled is antenna , minipci-e card slot and SIM-Card...no 3G card itself..
You have to buy a 3G card :: (For Germany UMTS ) Lenovo Qualcomm Gobi 2000 or Lenovo Sony Ericsson F3507G will work

hi ,
i have the similar doubt. I just got a Lenovo S10-3 as a gift. I m not sure if it is 3G ready though there is a 3G SIM card slot. But when i slot my SIM card in, nothing is detected when i boot up in Windows 7.
There is no driver or appl that detect this 3G modem.
Any one can enlighten me?

Hi and welcome,
Lenovo Qualcomm Gobi 2000 or Lenovo Sony Ericsson F3507G both cards should be working.,
your S10-3 should look like that (pic) the bigger minicpi-e card slot (full size) should be there , when you open the bottom lid... if there are no antennas , use USB solution or mifi router instead if you need wide wireless broadband
the smaller card is the wireless card (halfsize minipci-e)

Hi and welcome,
your book is prepared with antennas, red/blue on the picture ... thats good news...
if you want to use 3G, you have to buy a 3G Card (one of above) , buy & insert a data sim-card...
plug in both ... install driver ... and go...
