I have turned off the auto-rotation. It seemed too sensitive. When simply adjusting the screen position in my hand, it will flip. I prefer to select the mode thru the button and have full control.

I just purchased an s10-3t model, updated the BIOS to the latest version available on the website, updated the graphics drivers and the auto rotate software. still no go. it will rotate to all 4 positions when i disable the auto rotate function, but when auto rotate is enabled, it just flips to the opposite landscape mode regardless of orientation. it will not enter either portrait mode or return to the original landscape orientation until i take it out of the 'tablet' position. in other words the screen is not gravitation adjusting. are there any newer remedies?
thanks in advance.

I am having the same issue. The orginal netbook can only do screen rotation in 3 direction instead of 4. The auto adjustment was working in that 3 directions as well.
Then I upgrade both bios and the screen rotation. Now the screen can be rotated in all of 4 directions by pressing the button but the auto adjustment stops working.
I am suspecting the bios upgrade screwed this feature. I should just upgraded the software at the first. When I flash the BIOS, the flahsing program did created a backup file but I couldn't figure out the way to restore back to old BIOS using backup file.

Dear Bluej!
I had the same problem with my s10-3t purchased in November 2010. See here
I my case the second problem, obviously related to the first one, was the unability to uninstall the Lenovo screen rotation program? in order to replace it with the fresh copy taken from here
The only way to cope with this problem was to reinstall Windows 7 (32) completely using the Onekey Recovery, see here

hi, my auto rotation's working ok but the window resizes. a full browser window when in landscape only fills 1/2 the screen when turned to vertical. i want to keep the whole screen occupied by the window. any ideas?
