Re: My NEW!!! LENOVO S10-3T. My Best Buy ever!!!

hi paulppm,

I remember trying my iTunes with the pre-installed albums of Bob Acri, Ninja Tuna, and Richard Stoltzman during the first few days of my unit.  I was inside a closed air-conditioned room and the sound quality was enough but of course not fantastic like the bigger laptop units with more room for bigger speakers.  I guess the tiny space under the screen for the speakers will just give average sound quality but I can't say it's terrible.  It's not rasping, tinny, or trilling.  I can say it's what I can expect from a speaker on a tiny netbook - average, but not bad.

just my thoughts on your observation.

Babycatcher,

I think someone posted a comparison of the N450 and N470 here. Try to back read if you have time. I guess if you won't be using the unit for speed-hungry apps then N450 may just be enough especially for standard surfing and Office apps.

I don't know how you can ay that with a straight face, it's allthose things and worse, Also not loud and HAS NO Bass at all, I would think it would havebeen better if they never put sound in the 3T at all then the 3T would pretty much be perfect, but with that sound it makes the 3T defective and needs to be recalled and redesigned to fix the speaker problem.

I can't listen to the sound coming out ofthe 3T it;s just that bad,  I physical can't it hurts my brain :smileysad:

They could have designed it a little better and put some decent sized speakers in there, the speakers in their at the moment are a useless.

speaker MOD :smileyhappy:

My thoughts.

Hi bittenbythebug...:smileyhappy: I have read through this thread...all 20 pages of it! There didn't seem to be a real life comparison, though I did see the stats comparison. I would be using it for work, both in office and in the field. Speaking of which, are there any medical people that use the 3T for the OSCAR program or for international service?

hey babycatcher,

I tried responding to your post a while back but since i was using an iphone, lenovo page didn't upload properly.  Anyways, I haven't tried OSCAR but I also use an office program loaded with a huge database.  It runs well regarding speed and LAN connection.  My only problem is the screen size. It's not compatible and even if i resize it, some areas doesn't show.

Thanks for answering BBTB, I think what I need to do is contact the OSCAR people and ask...:smileyhappy: Btw, I've been using an iPhone 3 to post on here. When you hit reply and the screen switches over, you need to hit the HTML tab to be able to get to the posting screen. After that, it works fine...except for changing text sizes randomly. Another btw, this phone is the reason I want the 3T. It made me realize the value of the capacitive screen and the lack of functionality of not having a drop down menu.
