Here are my experiences so far with my new black 512 80gb s10. The pros outweigh the cons. It's very fast with downloads and just surfing, it's easily ungradable (ram &hd), It's a nice portable size, It's very study and light weight, the screen is a nice viewable size unlike the other 8.2 inch netbooks out there, It has an express card slot for a broadband, the touchpad buttons are below the touchpad unlike other netbooks that are on the side of the side of it, it has XP instead of Vista( waiting for Windows 7 beta) so alot of stuff like printer drivers are downloadable. Now for my list for the for what, I think are major cons, so much so that I'm thinking about returning it. First off, the fan is always on and now starting to smell like something is burning (yikes) and yes I've adjusted all my power setting that others have suggested, two, the battery life just stinks and from what I've read there isn't going to be a bigger one in the near future, three the keyboard isn't as responsive as I'm used to, especially the backspace. I really don't want to trash the little guy, it does what it's suppost to do and for $350 bucks I guess it's worth it if all you want to do doesn't take up too much battery life, I just think Lenovo should have put a SSD drive in it to save battery life and heat buildup (yes I would have paid a little more for it). I'm sure these new netbooks are going to be a big hit this hoiliday season, maybe that's why you these computer companies are spitting them out so quickly, I think lenovo has the rest of them beat but I must have just gotten a bad one Just my two cents...Peace
