Hi out there - help please!

Somehow whilst using a separate larger monitor, I have inadvertently lost my setting for the small screen on the laptop.

I have tried to reset it using the settings buttons in the display properties box but still cannot get it to fit the screen properly - the nearest i can get is using 800 x 600 but it still does not show the top and bottom taskbars on screen together and it is also narrower than the screen itself and thus makes working very difficult.

Everything was fine up to Tuesday when I used the larger monitor.

Can anyone help please - there must be some very simple keystrokes to rectify this

Hi and welcome, that sounds that you are caged in "move" windows mode or virtual resolution...

see here in knowledgebase ... Virtual Screen Resolution ... follow the steps, choose 1024 x 576 , apply .. that should set your resolution back to normal...
