Hello lenovo-community!
I'm not exactly sure whether I post this in the correct forum/subforum, so feel free to move this thread if needed.
I bought myself an used Lenovo IdeaPad S205 (originally bought in September '11) on eBay, and had to notice that once again one of its displayjoints is on the verge of breaking / got a small crack.
It's working just fine till now, but it seems like it'll get worse after some usage.
I actually had this problem already on a fairly new product of the same series (bought in November '11) and it had the very same problem on the very same joint (the right one if you view it from the opened front).
Does anyone else have the same expierience with these apparently _very fragile_ displayjoints and can tell me whether the lenovo warranty is gonna come up for this? As it does seem to be a product defect throughout the S205 series...
Hope you guys can help me out here ![]()

Hi Nyakes- and welcome to the community,
Broken hinges are usually blamed on improperly opening and closing the lid or opening it too far, thereby putting stress on the hinge.
Having it covered under warranty seems to depend on who you talk to or which warranty department you deal with.
Give a call to service and find out. At least then you'll know.
