aircard for the S10IdeaPad

Having a real problem trying to get info on what, if any, card I need for my S10IdeaPad.  I called Customer Service and was told there wasn't one available for this model.  However, my Lenovo User Guide book indicates that there is?  I can connect to the Internet using hotspots but that's not what I want to do.  I want to be able to connect with an aircard that gives me Internet connection via a subscription to a phone company.  If there's anyone at Lenovo Support reading this, can I get more info please?

Re: aircard for the S10IdeaPad

Its my understanding that a few non-US models came with a air card installed which is why your uer manual disagrees wtih what service is telling you.

if its a straight S10 model (not S102) it should have a 2 inch (ish) slot on the right side near the headphone and mic ports.  If it does you can purchase a "express card" air card that will fit just fine.

otherwise I would suggest a USB air card.

aircard

[ Edited ]

Hi, 3 ways for airing...

Thats posted you earlier here:

http://forums.lenovo.com/lnv/board/message?board.id=IdeaPad_Netbook&thread.id=3835

the pci express card 34 solution...

On the other hand there is a model S10-4333  comes with WWAN Card inside instead of pci-express-card 34 slot on the right size...

here in europe by provider vodafone and austria A1...with contract or you can bought around $450...

i think in US via provider AT & T...

i ve an prepaid USB Device WWAN ... i use this when out of reach WLAN hotspot...

i just plug in ... when i need to connect.. cheap and simple "aircard"...

another solution , but you dont have Bluetooth inside your S10 ...as S10e have...

connect via BT with your mobile to go on air...

sincerely KalvinKlein
