s10-2 does not shut down, no power off

I have s10-2 running XP. When I try to shut down it says windows is shutting down however it stays on that screen forever. No automatic power off.

I have to manually force power off by pressing and holding the power button for some time.

This happens every time.

Please help.

could be driver, power management or background application.

check system logs for errors ( right click my computer > manage > event logs )

or after you select sahut down, press ctrl + alt + delete for task manager and end the running applications
