IdeaPad tablet A1 -GPS problem - no location

Question

I have a problem with GPS on A1. 

It doesn't find a location both in Google maps and in NavDroid, just search icon start blinking and can blinking for hours. 

Answer

This was a bug in earlier versions of the OS installed on the A1 and has been addressed in newer versions of the code delivered as OTA or over the air updates.  Version 2643 and later versions should contain the fix.

Some applications may take longer to find satelite signals than others.  Long initial signal acquisition times have been reported by users of several different Lenovo tablet models.  After the first time sync with satelites, times generally are shorter.
