Tablet battery drains when in Sleep mode --- IdeaPad K1

Question

Whenever I put down my K1 tablet, the battery still seems to run and the tablet battery dies. To "power down" my tablet I quickly press the power button once and the screen goes black (I turn it on the same way). Is this the correct way?

I do it this way and next thing I know when I go to use it again the battery is dead. I do not want to do the full shutdown and have to power it back up and load each time. 

Answer

Some of the apps you have installed in your tablet could be busy working in the background and hence, more energy is consumed.

Do a check for these under Manage Applications settings.
