I tried Lenovo support for the more common issue of big icons and low resolution for my Lenovo Y560 with single ATI 5730 graphics card. Big mistake. They loaded the latest driver from AMD and on reboot I get blue screen of death against the atikmdag.sys driver. I've tried all manners of reinstall and get the same result. When I revert back to the last saved save point, I ironically get the same crappy resoluton 1024x786 with the generic video card. (The tech uninstalled the existing ATI driver before installing the new one.)
So is this a common issue? Has anyone ran across this problem before? I am debating a repair verses returning the laptop to the manufacture. (Especially after the tech support left me in this lovely state to figure it out for myself. 8-P )

I guess my post was grouped under here.
I do *NOT* have a dual graphic card system AND
My card fails all the time with a blue screen of death.
I tried the beta driver posted but my system didn't recognize it.
Anyway, I'll see if I can get anywhere today. IF not I am returning this dud.
It is a very expensive 1024x768 laptop with no battery life. I can do the same for 1/2 the cost. ;-)

What is your BIOS? Mine is 62, it only works with the original 8.702 drivers or the official Lenovo 8.752 drivers. AMD's 8.762 drives cause BSOD, and anything higher than that won't install at all (i.e. Catalyst 10.10 as of today.)

Have you tried installing Lenovo-approved ATI drivers (from their site)?
