Annoying problem

im playing cod 4 a couple minutes then.. my game minimized then it come back again.. then it starts to lag.. i tried to restart the game.. and it did not work... i tried playing i different game then its lagging too.. then i restart my laptop.. it back to normal.. everytime the problem comes out. i restart my laptop.... can anybody help me???.. what is the posible solution to this problem??

my laptop is y550 windows 7 home premium. core 2 duo  4gb ram, gt 240m

It could be the settings that you're trying to play it in. Try lowering your settings.  You might have better luck in the COD forums in making it work.

i think is not only in cod 4 only..when the problem comes out,, all of my games are affected

Have they always done this or is this something that just started happening?

Do they work if you lower the settings of the games?

un-install guid application if installed and try to change settings for display : right click the executable file > properties > compatibility
