Hello
I just bought my new laptop Ideapad Y430, I downgrade it to windows XP profesional, have all the drivers installed and it works very good. But i have an issue with the settings of audio recording control.
It only appears Mic input level when windows usually allows other input source like ¨Line volume¨ , ¨Stereo Mix¨ or ¨What u Hear¨. also i cant mute the volumen of the mic.
I really need this input sources for my audio work. can anyone help me please!!!!!!
i am using Conexant High Definition SmartAudio 221 driver
This problem is becuase SmartAudio is install? its there a way that SmartAudio allows me to have more input sources? Can i work without SmartAudio??
Can I uninstall SmartAudio and work with the generic audio control of windows XP? How can i do that?
any help will be HIGHLY appreciated.
THANKS

This codec will not allow you to hear what's inputed to micropohone by any mean. You'll not be able to hear what you're recording. It's technical desighn of chip itself.
That's what is called CBD (c*** by design). It's not about Lenovo but about Conexant codec itself.
