Coffee Spill Z575

About 2oz of coffee sloshed out of my coffee cup and onto the keyboard and touchpad. I have turned the machine off, removed the battery and used a can of compressed air to get as much of the liquid out of the machine as possible. I plan on waiting 24-48 hours and turning on the laptop. Is there anything else I should do to ensure the best possible chance of recovery?

#1, Patience!

Wait as long as you possibly can, I have seen laptops
that will not work correctly (usually keyboard) after 1-3 days
work after a week sitting and drying.

Search the web for "Liquid spilled on laptop" for lots of tips.

(You probably have done this already!)

In my opinion, you almost have to dis-assemble and check
for liquid infiltration. At least remove the keyboard.

And the keyboard is the most likely part
to be damaged, of course.

After letting it sit for ~12 hours I put the battery back in and turned it on.  Working like I didn't do anything to it at all.  All keys functional and touchpad works like a dream.

That is wonderful news, I guess my advice was a bit too cautious!
Was that Decaf coffee??
