Connected to network but no network access?

I've spent hours looking everywhere for a fix :smileysad: Brand new Z595 laptop.

When I'm able to connect, it says in the tray it is connected to my SSID but above it says "Unidentified Network. No Internet Access" Sometimes it will just say unable to connect to the network. Wired internet works great. All updates done on the wireless adapter, bios, etc. Firmware is up to date on the router. Mac filtering is not enabled. I've tried the Winsock, tcp/ip, etc fixes. Nadda

I'm on W7 64 Bit.

Re: Connected to network but no network access?

Just an update...I disabled the connection 3 and then was able to run ipconfig /renew . It's saying that it's unable to contact my DHCP server? Then request timed out:

Re: Connected to network but no network access?

Have you tried rebooting the router?

Re: Connected to network but no network access?

Sadly, that didn't work either. I don't have bonjour as I read that can be a problem.

I read about adding a route manually. Could that be what's causing my adapter and the router to not work? As in it's saying no connection available when it is actually connected?

I still also have times where it says Not Connected as well.

Re: Connected to network but no network access?

Can you connect with other devices and have you tried installing the software that came with the router as you would when first using a new router?

Re: Connected to network but no network access?

I really appreciate your help. All of the other devices on the networks work great. I used Ralink's software but not the router itself. I went ahead and bought a USB wireless adapter and it fired right up. Wireless is working great. I wonder if there is an issue between Ralink's gear and Dlink. Anywho, thanks again for the replies.
