Re: Do U think I should Buy Y560?

Buy the Asus. Lenovo Idea Series are a big headache. Definitely do not get the Y550

Is there anything good about the Y560?

[ Edited ]

When I saw a Y560 with the i7 and ATI 5730 graphics, I was really excited to buy a product with such good hardware at such an affordable price. Now i'm really scared, it seems that everyone has experienced problems with their GPU's, poor screen quality etc. I wanted an affordable laptop that would run most games in mid high to high settings, and I thought i found one. Is it all bad? I had my heart set on buying one, but now im thinking of a Dell or Asus instead? Anyone want to make me think otherwise?

Edit: The model I was looking at was the Y560 - 0646MFM if that makes any difference?

Re: Y560... Should I buy?

No point in wasting money on any Lenovo Ideapad laptops.

- Cheap build quality

- horrible resolution, puts strain on the eyes

- no CD/DVD media in case you want to reinstall, create your own partitions from scratch

I would suggest go for Dell or Sony Vaio. Avoid Lenovo Ideapad at all cost (also avoid HP)

Re: Y560... Should I buy?

Disagree, its quiet good build and especially i like that you can approach cooling system (to clean it) without full disassembly of notebook.

- horrible resolution, puts strain on the eyes

Agree, its the most weak part of ideapads...

- no CD/DVD media in case you want to reinstall, create your own partitions from scratch

Comeon, there are tons of freeware in internet...
