Core i7 y560

Hi guys,first post,sorry if in the wrong section.... Im gonna buy y560(0646-54u) or the one with core i7 720m depending on availability...the thing is...iv been hearing a lot about these display problems on these models....so have these been resolved?or is it still going on?Im askin coz i live in india and this is to be bought in the USA....dunno if warranty is covered and hence i need to be careful ...so plz guys im depending on you.^^

1st of all, you should see the dysplay quality yourself. Come and See at any shop this notebook in live. Some ore ok with it, some not. The problems mentioned here were resolved for most users (bios update to 59 and Lenovo 752 drivers or ATI's one).

That is the problem lesh...i cant find the models in my country and so im ordering it online.... and hence the question...and does lenovo provide international warranty?

IWS (International Warranty Service) depends on models. It's not applicable for all of them.

I am interested in buying this laptop. My requirements are

  Intel i5- 460M or above

  4GB RAM (upgradable to 8GB)

  ATI Radeon HD 5650 or above

  15.X  " screen, Resolution 1366x768 or above

  Cost : Less than Rs. 60,000 and must be available in india

I thought Y560 was perfect for me, until I found many users having issues with it especially with display. I see many discussions about this in this forum as well. Has this issue been resolved ? Does bios update to 59 and graphics update solve problems. Please let me know. If not, please suggest some other laptop with these configuration. Thank you.

as it reported, some of y560s had some issues with graphic card but bios update fixed that issue.

also, do not forget that only users have some issues are here.

Yes Thats there. But here the dealers wont pay so much attention to screen as much as you and I are giving I must fight with them for that and after forcing them to take it back, it will take months for it to SUPPOSEDLY get repaired.
