FAQ - Small disk "C" and large disk "D"

If you delete hibernation file on disk C you will not be able to use hibernation. Creating this file on disk D will not make sense.

 After you uncheck automatic swapfile management you must specify either "without pagefile" on both disks or specify "without pagefile" on disk C and custom size for disk D if you sure yu need swapfile.

Honestly,I like to see that  tool from Lenovo Team ASP which will help to all owners of Y510 to increase that ridiculous size on C drive. I like my Lenovo lappy, generally is very good, but the size on that C drive is a big headache to me and other owners too.

My TMP files are just 5.5 MB size. Will leave them on C drive.

Can I reinstall my Office 2007 on D drive and have it fully funcional ?

Shadow copies is system restore. Just google for "disable system restore" or "reduce shaow copy size"

I never use system restore neither on my desktop nor on my laptop. System restore messed up my PC cpl of times and have decided not to use that option again. It's not reliable.

Can I install Office on D drive? Will Office work from there?

You can try installing Office on D, but I'm not sure it will fully go there - some parts I believe still will be on disk C.

As I mentioned, no use to install it on D because after system reinstall it goes off. Only way is to make restore disk after you've installed ll software you need.

I know that still registry files will be on C drive whether they're installed on D drive or some other partition.

Just want to free same space and save my C drive from choking !!  Like Lenovo idea for Novo button and I really wish

to keep that 15GB partition and save Novo function, but wish to have more space,not only 30 GB C drive.  Now I have only 4 GB left with just very few and tiny programs installed on C drive. Sooner or latter, since can't find right solution, will have to delete Nova partition from C drive and relise some space.

Well you an download OKR 6 and patch for OKR 6 from support site and make your own recovery DVD that acts exactly as NOVO button does. Only difference is that you can change partition size before backuping it and your handmade recovery disk will return you to your partition scheme, not factory one.

What is the purpose of NOVO Key in Lenovo Y 410 laptop??

Is there any possibility of increasing C Drive space... Without disturbing the folder structure.....

Or I wanna partiotion my Laptop again? Is that possible? Suggest me in this regard....
