HDD warranty

Hi,

I'm going to make the Factory Disk as instructed in the knowledge base and then resize the system partion and make a new partition. And here's my question.

If I modify the structure of the hard drive will I lose the warranty for the hard drive? In case of the hard drive being damaged will I have problems sending it to repair?

Yep.

If you have performed any type of alterations, adjustments, to initial HDD form and contents, any issues  that may come up will not be covered by warranty. It is customer induced damage from then on.

Contact Lenovo Support beore making any big decisions.
