Can someone tell me the normal readings for a Y570? Much appreciated. Thanks.

Which devices? Or sensors rather? Idle for my Y530 THRM value is 47c, both cpu cores around 35c-37c, and my video around 41c. These are about average for what I typically see on my Y530 (though I think mine runs a bit cool ;-) when I don't let it run long enough lol, I updated my numbers --though they are slightly down again nearly to what they were when I woke the laptop. THRM is more like 41c.). I would expect you should see similar values on your Y570 and I think these values are fairly typical for this hardware. If you want temp values for specific applications or loads you will need to do some testing yourself or look for others that have done such testing on same or similar hardware to yours. You may wish to search the forums.

Meek_Milly.... please have a look at this 'heat' thread...

you should find similar figures with your Y570... Zehn

I thought the Y570's were older. Disregard the hw comparison I made ;-) lol sorry. (My Y530 is Core 2).
Cheers

I run coretemp 0.99.98 and it shows my cpu temp to idle at 45,45 . If I push it it runs at 65,65 but cools immediately when I stop .

I like HWMonitor but coretemp looks pretty good too. HWMonitor does show more sensors, e.g. GPU temp.

when I had my diy desktop with a 465 gpu in it, I cared about the gpu temp. Now I don't because the cpu snaps back to idle almost instantaneously - ie. I can tell if I need to vacuum out my cpu's fan - had it for a year and still going well. Toys!!!
