Hard drive ticking? and warrenty info.

Hi, I bought a new IdeaPad Y460 in China back in July. I'm currently in Canada. Right now I often hear hard drive ticking noise when the computer is idle. Is this a known issue?

 

Also I'm wondering if there's international warrenty with this?

according to this page, it seems not possible but for warranty, check this thread out.

possible that your hard disk about to die, i suggest you to backup your data immediately.
