IdeaPad V570 bootmenu

hi all,

i updated BIOS downloaded from Lenovo web site

and Windows Boot Manager gone from bios boot menu.

How to bring it back? i want also use grub to boot fedora.

yes.

 

this model using Phoenix SecureCore Tiano BIOS.

it`s UEFI capable, so it`s know about OS Loaders installed

this bootmenu that once existed before the BIOS update ... did your unit have both a windows and linux OS installed ?

yes, i have windows and linux installed.

 

now i boot to windows througt UEFI chain.

and to linux througt BIOS using USB stick with grub.

 

as i understand one of feature of UEFI that it is boot menu stored in NVRAM and UEFI starts proper OS Loader stored on EFI System Partition, but looks like this was disabled in recent BIOS (firmware it would be proper to say)

ok after recent firmware update "windows boot manager" appear again.

as i assumed lenovo introduce bug in previous update.

 

btw still can`t disable touchpad
