IdeaPad Y570 Updated Drivers!!!!!!

[ Edited ]

I have done rigorous testing and many formats until I found the updated drivers that ARE 100% compatible with the Y570. Some of them were taken from the Y580 like the Realtek Audio Drivers, the webcam drivers, etc.

the updated Lenovo Power Management and Lenovo EE Boot Optimizer were taken from the Z575 driver set.

Since Lenovo doesn't care to update other notebooks' driver page, I bring you the updated set here to download.

The Lenovo IdeaPad Y570 Clean Install Guide has also been updated with these drivers!

Note: Please do not bother installing newer Intel Chipset Drivers or newer Rapid Storage Technology or Intel Management Engine Components because in my testing, if you install the later ones they give you lower components. The drivers below are the ones that were meant to work 100% with the Intel 6 Chipset the later ones are for Intel 7 and even though they may install fine, they give lower performance.

================================================================

01-Intel Wireless WiFi Link Driver v14.1.1.3

02-Intel Chipset Driver v9.2.0.1021

03-Rapid Storage Technology 11.2.0.1006 WHQL

04 -Intel Management Engine Interface Driver v7.0.0.1144

05-Intel HD Graphics Driver v8.15.10.2598 (x64)

06-nVIDIA Graphics Driver v296.10 WHQL (x64) (There are newer drivers but these are the most stable ones according to my testing and offer good performance. The later 3.xx drivers can't even play Solitaire or Hearts, if you set the global setting to the nVIDIA GPU and try to run Solitaire or hearts, they would crash right away)

07-Realtek High Definition Audio Driver v6.0.1.6543

08-SRS Premium Sound v1.11.9.0

09-Broadcom Ethernet Driver v14.8.0.5

10-JMicron JMB38X Flash Media Controller v1.0.55.0

11-Renesas USB 3.0 Driver v2.1.28.1

12-Broadcom Bluetooth Driver v6.5.1.1201

13-Synaptics Touchpad Driver v15.3.31.1

14-Webcam Drivers v6.1.7600.117 (This is a Zip File, unpack, then go to Device Manager, then manually update the Webcam Drivers by pointing to the 64-bit Drivers in the extracted folder)

15-OneKey Theater v2.0.2.8

16-Lenovo Energy Management v6.0.2.1

Optional:

17-Lenovo EE Boot Optimizer v0.0.1.9

18- Windows Hotfixes recommended by Lenovo (some of them may not be applicable to your computer so just try to install them they won't run if they're not needed)

19-Intel Disable ZPODD Register v2.0
(turns off your DVD Drive when not in use to save power)

20-VeriFace v4.0.1.0126

21-Intel Turbo Boost Technology Monitor v1.0.400.4 (only if you want to see what is the current speed of your CPU)

22-YouCam v3.1.3728

Install the drivers you just downloaded ONE BY ONE in the numbering order in which they are listed above! They are numbered that way for a reason! Please do not change that order if you want everything to work perfectly!

PLEASE RESTART YOUR COMPUTER AFTER EVERY DRIVER INSTALLATION, I know this may take longer, but if you want a perfect system, restart after every driver/utility installation, even though it doesn't prompt you to restart, don't take any shortcuts! RESTART ON YOUR OWN!

Re: IdeaPad Y570 Updated Drivers!!!!!!

Solid work and well done,

wondering how all  this would apply, to any other

related  U,V, and most importantly the  Z series  ideapads?

They should work I believe as long as the chipset is the same, except, always use the Intel Chipset Drivers that came with the laptop as they are meant specifically for that chipset.

Example: Intel Chipset Drivers v9.3.0.1019 from the Y480 / Y580

When you start the setup, it says in the 2nd page after the license agreement, Target Chipset: Intel 7 series

The setup finished much faster than how it does with the original drivers so I think it misses a few components specific to the Intel 6 series. Also, in the Window Indows Score, it is 1 point lower as opposed to the original drivers. I know the WEI is messed up and not a reliable benchmark, but just noting that it does give you a notch lower.

Also, if you don't stick to the Intel Management Engine Components from the original drivers and install the latest v8.xxx from Intel or Lenovo, you immediately notice that your Notebook is not as snappy, there is a slight delay in everything you do and I don't know why but this is why I left those drivers alone but updated the Intel HD Graphics as those worked and since they're from Lenovo, they didn't break the brightness up/brightness down from the FN key like the native Intel ones do so its all good

The Realtek HD Sound Drivers also worked flawlessly and the sound is still loud and clear. If you install the latest ones from Realtek R2.68, they do install fine, but they aren't as loud as the Lenovo ones

I think as long as you are installing the Lenovo Drivers from the links above, and the chipset is the same (example: Realtek HD Audio or Renesas USB Drivers, etc) you should be fine
