I'm in the process of downloading the Intel HD drivers now on your list, I don't know why but my brightness changing ability went away, that's both Fn+up/down and also unable to change the brightness in the energy management section. I have tried reinstalling intel drivers from lenovo, tried rolling back driver, tried reinstalling power management.

Lets hope this one works, will update

sigh, no good. still just stuck with brightness animation but no brightness change.

Please note that there is a correct order for installing the drivers for everything to work...... Read this thread:

These drivers work 100% I can assure you that.

Also ensure that the Lenovo Energy Management is installed AFTER you have installed the Graphics driver not before

So uninstall both and try again

I have the same exact specification laptop like yours .except for the 16gb ram part.and i wanted to ask.my y570 didnt come with eeboot optimizer.and unfortunately i just installed that and nothing else.is it going to be a problem as you mentioned everything needs to be installed in order.or is it OK?..thank you

No, EE Boot Optimizer is not a driver so it is ok if you install it in any order you want it will still work fine.

But before running it and doing an optimization, all drivers must be installed because the way it works is it delays certain drivers from being loaded on startup that are not essential for the system to run in order to speed the boot process

16 GB GEIL PC1333 DDR3 RAM

so it's 1333 Mhz. bro

couldn't find 1600 mhz. ram yet here in Dubai...

is our notebook even comptabile with 1600 mhz. RAM?
