IdeaPad Z570 display problem

hi all, I am having this strange issue with my laptop from the day I bought it. whenever I cut out the mains and it runs on battery, the display backlight keeps flickering. switch on the mains and everything goes back to normal(i.e. no flickers). this happen to anybody else? why does this happen? somebody help me out please. thanks.

It is sad to know you are facing the issue with your new laptop.

You need to update the Video driver ( Intel to 8.15.10.2266 and Nvidia to 8.17.12.8590 )

Also update the BIOS, restart the system and check.

thanks Tanuj but I did update all the drivers from the support site ,including the Intel and nvidia drivers a few months back, but that has not solved my problem.also updated my BIOS to the latest version.nothing has changed.
