My wife received her new Ideapad Y530 40512UU last week. So far she likes it very well but I have been wondering if it has the Active Protection System included on it. I have the Thinkpad T400 and like the APS feature. The specs on the Ideapad seem to indicate that it is included on many models but I can't find anything in the config that would lead me to believe that it is active on her system. Is there any way that I can check it without the Thinkvantage Active Protection System properties utility that is included on the Thinkpads?

APS consits of two things - a hardware chip and driver-level software.
Only U series Ideapads have APS - U110 and U330. U130 is not confirmed for now but I believe it will be.
