Ideapad Y560 Bluray drive question (0646-54u)

Just ordered a LG CT21N Bluray Laptop drive from newegg. Has anyone ever had problems adding a aftermarket optical drive or this drive specifically to this laptop?

according to manual ( page 91/103 ), it won't support.

The drive is on its way here, ordered to a military base in afghanistan so it'll take like a week or 2. will let u know how it goes, if not then i'll just have to order an external enclosure

on page 91 theres a Sony bluray drive listed and a whats looks to be a dell bluray drive listed. The connectors are standardized so it should work

already have ram maxed to 8gb ddr3-1333 and hard drive is a zalman n 128gb solid state, so performance isn't a issue

Drive is installed and works flawlessly, ripping a bluray movie as I type this. Everything lined up, just unsnapped the lenovo bezel off the old drive and put it on the new drive. the stock screws for the rear mounting also worked fine. looks totally stock, eject button works perfectly. Total time was less then 10 minutes.
