Hi everyone,
I have been using my Ideapad Y560 laptop for about 6 months. Last week when I turned on the computer I noticed the boot up was very slow. By slow I mean at least 30 mins to see the desktop and then it would be very slow and laggy for the next two hours or so before it picks up speed and I can do some tasks.
At the login screen it would take 30 seconds to type my password (<10 characters) and it would be on the "welcome" screen for 5-10 mins followed by a period of black screen ~5-10 mins.
This problem came on suddenly (was fine the day before) and I did not install any new programs the night prior to.
I tried to reformat the computer and also the one key recovery. Also I have tried to scan the computer with various spyware and anti-virus programs without any luck.
I have had this problem once before and called tech support which told me to reformat the computer and it worked that time but has not this time.
Sorry for the long post but I really hope someone could shed some light on my problem.
Thank you for reading!

Hi yigit,
Thanks for your suggestion. I tried to do what you suggested and the computer still has a very slow start up.

Restarting the computer works, however it did not seem to fix anything.
