Is it ok to disable V-sync on a Laptop/LCD

Is it ok to disable V-sync on a Laptop/LCD ? I know that they have a refresh rate of 60hz but will happen if I disable V-Sync? good or bad? I know nVIDIA recommends disabling V-sync to fix stuttering issues with their current drivers until the next driver release which is supposed to be in June so this is why I want to have an expert answer with regards to V-sync on a laptop/LCD, how does it)

Re: Is it ok to disable V-sync on a Laptop/LCD

Hello berryracer,

The V-sync is vertical synchronization.

I can only recommend V-Sync by In-Game if possible, There's not much difference from Native or Forced, other than Forced takes a bit more resources.

Also, about Triple Buffering. The Control Panel forced triple-buff only works on OpenGL-based application's.

If a game has an anti aliasing, anisotropic filtering or any other option in game its always best to use the in game option rather than forcing through the graphic card control panel.

Usually disabling V-sync increases the FPS, you may check it.

Best Regards,

Tanuj
