Is it possible to fully backup to restore into SSD?

I want to use new generation SSD disks with my y560p.

1) Are there any exceptions related to ssd disks those i can't use them on my laptop?

2) How can i (if i can) backup everything into an image or something like that and move it to the SSD? I just want to replace my disk with SSD but keeping everything almost untouched.

3) Can i add current disks as secondary and third disks without removing dvd-rom?

On this youtube video showing a HP DV7 owner  installing a SSD, but it also shows the software he used to make an image. I believe it to be a good method, maybe you might as well.
