So I'm terribly disappointed that Lenovo decided to replace the supposedly better GT650M card (which they initially said would be the card inside this model) to a GT640 LE card...bad lenovo! Because of this, I am now very much confused whether i should buy the y480 or look for another laptop. I saw that there were 2 kinds of 640M LE, the LE 384 pipeline and the LE 96 pipeline. The LE 384 is 1% better than the GT640M, but the LE 96 pipeline is 24% worse than the GT640M. So I do not exactly know which GT 640M LE card they're using. I'd be really pissed if they use the LE 96 pipeline because as I have heard, it is lower than the GT 555M that the y570 is offering.
Someone told me that the first releases of the y480 had the GT 640M LE 96 pipeline (if this is the case i'd rather not buy the y480). So, I asked a local dealer to give me the specs of the y480 that will arrive in their store in a few weeks and she said that this incoming model has a GT 640M 2GB card. Now, tell me, is this still the one with 96 pipelines?
