Lenovo Z565 memory upgrade Problem !!

Hello everyone,

 

 

          I have z565 and I am currently running on 4GB RAM. When I tried upgrading to extra 4GB it never detected the second RAM and shows only 4GB ram.

 

Does anyone have any idea what I can do to get hold of all 8GB.

Where are you seeing the report of only 4G?  BIOS, or in the OS, or some software tool?

 

What OS are you running?  A 32 bit OS will only be able to use 4G (actually a little less, typically).
