Lenovo z460 shuts down frequently

It stArted last month when it shutsdown frequently..i brought it to the store where i bought it..advised me to buy a new antivirus..so i did..but problem still persists...5x i went to the store to have it checked, but they always say theres no problem..this morning i was fed up, i took a video of the frequent shutting down of my unit..thats the time they believed me...whats happening to my lenovoz460?...i already updated the bios and power management as what your online support suggested..but still no use....help...

does this happen right after you log into windows ? or at a later time?

does it happen when you use a specific software? or does it occur when a set of softwares has been opened?

Even before logging in to windows....it will automatically shut down..also i can hear the fan blowing intensely..after it shuts down, i cannot turn it on for awhile...i noticed that if its a cold envirmenment,like the store where i bought it, while they do diagnostics around 5x already,they said its okay..but when i use it outdoors..it will shutdown again...

I too have same problem.My Lenovo Z460 laptop also shut down automatically whenever i play NFS game..

In other situations,no problem in function of laptop.... Can anyone get me a solution for my problem??

Seems similar to my problem with z560 which freezes and have to

press power button to shutdown.

brought my z460 7x already in the service center..still this problem still persists...they still said my unit has no problems...but when i asked them about the logs..they dont even know what this means....cmon lenovo...are all your service center is like this?

can you try to perform clean windows installation first by pressing one key recover? please, post back the results if the issue still persists.

Sounds like someone didn't apply enough or forgot the thermal paste.

my z460 gets reformatted several times last year by the store where i purchased this....and even checked by the lenovo service center here in davao philippines..they did "burn in test" 2x on separate occasions, but said it has no problems...but i insisted that the condition occurs in a warm environment..but they said it has no problems at all..im fed up with the "lenovo service center" here in my place, because i think they dont really check the units properly (they just ran a 1hour burn in test)......last year alone, i sent my z460 4x with the same complaint...but still no diagnosis......i told them maybe theres overheating, they didnt bother...now im just adjusting that this laptop comes with problems, which previous ones i had doenst =(.....
