Hello!
I'm having a problem with the startup of my ideapad V570, when I turn it on, after the windows logo screen, all that I can see is a long lasting black screen with no cursor on it and an intermittent led (I think it's the one of the hard drive, but I'm not shure, from right to left is the second one). After a minute or so the black screen turns brilliant and the cursor appears, then the normal boot up process continues.
At first I read that bioexcess drivers can cause a slow startup so I disabled it, and the problem won't solve, then I did a lot of clean windows installations using one key recovery and never activate bioexcess, the problem appeared once after I uninstalled a program, in other occasion the problem appeared after a windows update and the last time it was after I ran lenovo boot optimizer. This last program can't solve the issue.
I don't know what to do, I love my computer but this problem is driving me mad.
Any solution please?

Hey there,
I am having th exact same problem, except I am using a Z570.
On a cold boot, the normal boot happens, and the windows logo shows. After, the screen goes black and the hard drive light flashes for just a few milliseconds, every second for up to a minute.
I thought this might be a power issue as I'm having power issues with my laptop, but nothing seems to speed up the time in the black screen.
Did you uninstall any of the fast boot lenovo crapware that came with your laptop?

Hi @nyancat
No, I havn't uninstalled anything from the crapware and I don't have any issues with power, ay least that I have noticed. Which problem do you have with yours? Why do you think it may be related?
Thanks for your reply!

Fair enough, I thought the two may be related because of battery static which other users have had problems with.
I noticed this problem goes away when starting in safe mode... have you tried that as a previous member suggested?

Hi yigit
I have checked the hard drive using Chkdisk but havn't encountered a problem with it.
What do you mean with check the loading time in safe mode? run a stopwatch when I do it and see if it improves or the sistem would tell me how much time did it spent?

I started my computer in safe mode but it didn't work...
Any help please? I'm desperate

hi macrofagom2,
Its very hard to determined what causing this. From what i gather could be a software related issue. At this point did try running your machine without the Boot optimiser and the Bioexcess together?
