hey leshcat - good job - that #2.1 is key installing new drivers from third party such as ati. if you want something done right you have to do it yourself - right leshcat ha ha ha peace!

Larymacq, i mean display issue when gradient colors are badly displayed, you can see more about this problem in thread calle 'New discussion about y560 display issues'.Do you have this gradient problems?

Just to put some evidence from another OS:

I've tried Ubuntu 10.10 (I can't install proprietary drivers from ATI) :

- Gradients are visible as in Win7.

- very noticeable tiny ants are running on the screen (maybe smaller than with Bios 53 in win7, but I'm not sure)

well...service and BIOS update does not come for long...like how many passed since this topics started?

Milo - my pc screen had a little gradient color as well when I was using the old ati levono drive - now that I updated to the latest,greatest ati driver mobility catalyst 10.11 and latest driver for 5730 - my display screen is sharp, crisp, bright colors with great details. You may have to update your driver/catalyst from ati. if your problem persist after update - your hardware may be problem and you need to contact lenovo support - good luck

if you have slidenav program, just launch slidenav configuration and it should flicker (bright-dark fast changing colors) immediately....

There is no video since on normal panels it will look good.

Hi, I need to report the same problems that some of you have mentioned

• Tiny ants around edges when moving windows
• gradient issue
• Windows Performance Index, needs to be updated every time I boot the computer

I have a Lenovo Y560 0646, running bios v59 and ati driver version: 8.782-100930m-106237C-ATI
