Try updating to ATI Catalyst 10.10 and 8.782 driver from AMD site. Resolved display driver crashes on my i7 Y560. May not work with switchable graphics models though.
jbondc wrote:Hi Mark,
I've received the Lenovo Y560 on November 4th and have been experiencing problems ever since.
BSOD, windows updates failing, I decided to test the "one key restore".
The restoration worked and I flashed th bios to v59 and installed video drivers from the lenovo website.
Next day BSOD:
The computer has rebooted from a bugcheck. The bugcheck was: 0x00000050 (0xfffff9a003542948, 0x0000000000000000, 0xfffff800033c595f, 0x0000000000000005). A dump was saved in: C:\windows\MEMORY.DMP. Report Id: 111110-41231-01.
Naturally, I tested the memory (Windows Memory diagnostics) which passed.
I can't reproduce so far the BSOD but I'm guessing it will happen again randomly. Given all the threads I've read, my hunch is something related to the video drivers.
Can I provide the memory dump so you guys can have a look at it?
I'm an IT guy and I'm quite frustrated to deal with these issues on a new laptop, I can't imagine how regular folks feels. That said I appreciate the support and applaud the efforts you guys are making to solve this issue.
Hopefully my problem is with the video drivers / software and not hardware. Small note, it would great to have a "consumer" version of ThinkVantage to know everything is up-to-date / supported by lenovo.

1. ah, 10.1 why its important?
2. No, there are or win7 or for winxp. The main idea of Lenovo's driver that they have normal support for switching graphics...
Ofcourse i am forced to use it...with all flickering, gradients etc..funny,as on Intel graphics everything is fine.

well, dx11 anyway is too much even for this card...so who cares at the end..
Disable?! My eyes need to relax sometimes + better battery efficiency, at least till when Lenovo will finally go down to earth and fix this problem with ATI.
