No CD/DVD drive installed on Lenovo y510

I have a Lenovo Y510 system, and the CD/DVD drive is not showing up under "my computer" . When a CD is inserted I can hear the drive spinning and reading the CD but nothing happens. When I looked under Device Manager I discovered there is no CD/DVD drive listed, only my hardrive. I have updated the BIOS that is on the Lenovo website and all other relevant updates for my system, The computer is running Windows 7 (32bit). I do not have the original CD's used to install programs on the computer.

i recommend contacting the service team and getting a recovery disc for your unit.
