Hi,
I am trying to use the OKR 7.0 to create the recovery DVD. However the controls buttons and the message in the pop-up windows are not appearing fine. Without the message I am not able to figure out if it is an error message or a completion message.
Please see the images attached..
Please advice how this can be fixed and how the recovery disk could be created.
Thank You,
Deep

Welcome to the forum.
By the look of your pictures, it appears that you have changed your "theme" to something that the display will not show the buttons.
Try this:
Go to the control panel, and select Personalization. Change the theme to Windows 7, and save.
Attempt the OKR save under this theme.
Let us know how it goes.
Cheers.

Thank you DragonRider !
I changed the Theme to Windows 7 and still see the same problem in OKR. I do not see this issue in other One Key applications.
Please advice.
Thank you,

Hi,
you don't mention the model number of your laptop,
but from the look of the images you supplied,
it would seem that OKR is stuffed.
Do you have the latest version of OKR?
i would go to the website for your model and check it.
Even if you do have the latest OKR,uninstalling and then installing a fresh copy,
may fix the problem.
Please be carefull and take appropriate steps to do it safely.
İnfo regarding that should be available there.
Good luck.

Thank you Countrywise:
Model number of your laptop - Z560
Do you have the latest version of OKR? I have version 7.0 which it states is the latest version
I downloaded the latest version from the website.... unstalled the old version and installed the fresh copy and it still stays the same.

Well,if your laptop is still in warranty,
you could call Lenovo support, and see what they suggest.
Also keep looking through the forum,
as someone else may suggest something,
that you can use to fix it.
İf this problem happened recently, did you do anything that may have caused
this problem, like installing a new program, drivers and the like?
Stuff like that sometimes cause problems
İt always pays to create a system restore beforehand,so you can reverse to a time when everything was ok.
Can you think of anything?

Thank you Countrywise:
The laptop is out of warranty and I bought this in US and do not have an international service on this.
I do not remember doing anything different off late, did not install any new program except Skype. I removed Skype and tried again as well without any improvement.
Also I did not try this before as I did not find an use for that, However when I tried now, I see this inability to use it. Do you know any other means of taking a backup?
I think the OKR button when activated at shutdown is working fine. I am intending to restore the laptop to factory settings and I would like to have a recovery DVD handy just in case the OKR have some problem during the restore.
Do you suggest an alternative?

Interesting... Do you have the Cyberlink Power2Go installed at startup? I think it's necessary to do the OKR backup.
See this startup load:

OK. I want you to try one more thing, then I'm out of ideas.
In the Control panel, under the Personalization themes, try the Windows 7 Basic theme. (Non Aero). You may need to scroll down to see the Basic themes, on the personalization setup page.
My thinking is that your pictures "look" like the Aero transparency isn't working well with your OKR 7.0 screens. The Windows 7 Basic theme "should" bring all of your message prompt to the forefront, in all Windows.
If that doesn't fix your problem, under the "Search programs and files" on the main Start Menu, enter "Aero" and choose
"Change Window Glass Colors" Disable "Transparency", then save. You may have to reboot for the change to take effect, as I don't remember. See picture:
Cheers!
