I took the barbarian approach to fixing the little drive C: issue and re-formatted/re-partitioned the HDD using a linux live CD. I then used the factory recovery discs to reinstall vista/drivers/updates on the new 40GB living space.
I installed Safari as the normal browser and the computer has freezes and will not respond to commands. Also, the fan seems to be running excessively or more than before. I uninstalled Safari and reinstalled it. Any ideas?
Cheers!

Formatting issue during Vista installation - Preformed low level format of root drive and updated BIOS(06CN31WW) to most current version (06CN33WW) to solve this issue. Reinstalled Vista and seems to work fine!
