SATA Driver For XP

How do I extract the driver file from the Chipset EXE package so I can slipstrem it into my XP install?

Run the EXE package. It will unpack to a temp folder. When installation starts, do not abort or continue it.

Then press Win+R, type %temp%,  press enter, your temporary files folder will open, look for folder that contains inf-file.

It will be much easier if you empty that temp folder beforehand.

you may not need sata drivers. did you change sate/ide settings in bios?
