Sound and video freezes Lenovo y570

I got my lenovo y570 for 2 months now, and one week early I was playing diablo 3 one time and the computer was totally frozen I had to turn off and on again when I entered the game it was lagging for something like 10 seoncds then it got normal, till this date nothing have happened.

But after that, it happens very rare I use the computer all day and it only happens one maximum two times a day, its a quick sound and video frezze, not a frezze on sound its more like an distortion, and it not only happens when playing but sometimes just listening to music, its very quickly half a second and its gone. It looks like random because I can't reproduce till now I experienced it one time on skype two times when just listening to music and at about 3 times on game, in one week. I keep the optimus button active all the time so I won't have trouble forgetting to turn on, guess its not that but it costs nothing to say. Does anyone have any idea what can that be? Thanks.

Just to sum up my tread so you don't have to read it all the way. I uninstalled the McAfee and the problem went away. Don't know how or why but it just did. Try checking the process tab in the task manager to see if there is a CPU heavy process that matches your lags, if so try killing it or uninstalling the SW it belongs to. And a heads up, search up the process name first so you don't kill some process that is essential for the wellbeing of the machine.
And another thing, as far as i remember those logs didn't helped me in anyway. I can be wrong but thats what i remember.
Good luck in finding the sollution and if you do share it in other threads, it just might help some other frustrated y570 owner

now that i think of it,may be a long shot ( or maybe not)

it would pay,to run a scan for malware.

please go to  http://www.eset.com/us/online-scanner/

check mark all appropriate boxes including 'check archives,

click on advanced settings and checkmark ''scan for pottentialy unsafe apps.

Disable your antivirus just before the scan starts,and remember to re-enable it afterwards.

And if you do have McAfee,that really has been found to cause these issues,

so yes disable or un-install it,will be best.

Let us know what happens.

I used the recovery key 7 days ago and did the clean install like said here:

Because somehow when I installed the described driver of nvidia there the internet wouldnt conect nor wifi neither by cable, anyway the internet is okay now.

I got 5 days without this problem, yesterday at 11pm I got the problem while playing Diablo III and two times again till now (12pm). I scanned the computer with that website and got those malwares above, as I had it 5 days free after formating I'm thinking that it might be the malware of something that I downloaded that time and again after formating. I'll wait to see if it's going to happen again after taking the malwares off. By the way I checked the windows log and there was nothing there on the time of the problem.

The only warning I'm getting from system logs is The speed of processor 1 in group 0 is being limited by system firmware. The processor has been in this reduced performance state for 5 seconds since the last report.

I got again the problem, taking the malware off didnt worked. I'll wait till you read the message and if you have no further idea I'll try to uninstall mcaffe, I wanted to keep it because my internet gives me mcaffe for free but if there is no other way...

Just to give you more information, just got the problem while on only skype so it's not just in game.

Before uninstaling it try this first, it may work. Find and stop all real time modules on McAfee(update checker, real time protection, firewall and what not) just leave the on-demand scanner functional. If it doesnt work, just uninstall the **bleep** thing, it's a pathetic piece of software anyway.
