U300s- SSD

Does anybody have any idea where to purchase a replacement SSD for a U300s? Have not seen any other laptop using this type of a connector. Any help is appreciated.

hi gr8bear,

Upon looking the U300s' specs, it uses a 7mm, 2.5in SATA HDD. You will need to get a 7mm, 2.5in SATA SSD for the upgrade like this one:

Vector - 7mm Low Profile SATA 3 2.5" SSD

Edit:

My bad, this is for the U300 not the U300s.

It is OK to say 'I don't know' if you do not know [Moderator edit]

It is not what you say, it is different. It looks similar to ssd's used in mackbooks and some Asus zenbooks but the connector is different.

BTW: U300s is different from U300 and U400.

Re: U300s- SSD

U300s uses a non-standard SSD.

It is similar to a bubble gum stick, like on the X1 Carbon.

Re: U300s- SSD

Well yes. I know what it looks like, just can not source it.

It looks as a long SSD drive  in picture from post above but the connector is different. Connector snaps from the top and looks like a lcd cable connector, half the size.
