Hi everyone. I am quite new to lenovo.
I just bought U300s ideapad last week.
Straight to the point: My main problem is that
when i am charging the laptop, the mouse cursor
skipping around and it is pretty annoying. I can't even click
the right icon. The movement is here and there.
I have had contacted the customer service via chatting,
1) suggested to update the synaptics driver (Done)
2) Reinstall win 7 os (Done)
3) The guy even update the BIOS for me (he virtually control my laptop
and update for me) (Done)
Can somebody help me out. Experts or anybody experienced the same
situation before. Please help me out.
Thank you
p.s -when my laptop is fully charge, it works fine

thanks for the reply,
I just wondering if existing charger can be replaced by the new one. Is it covered in the warranty? I use the original charger and
the problem keep on coming.

With all the drivers you reinstaled, did you update the energy management driver as well?
might just do the trick, especially after BIOSUpdate.

yes, this problem you are experiencing is most likely due to the fact that during when your battery charges, your CPU speed is throttled back.
This throttling problem is a known problem.
Try the latest BIOS firmware update, see whether it addresses the issue.

Hi Boyz,
it very much looks like the charger is to weak to power the U300s machine and charge the battery simultaneously,
next step in troubleshooting should be to temporarily connect another more powerful compatible charger and see what happen then.
Can you go visit a computer vendor nearby and pester him to make that test for you? ![]()
And sure your existing original Lenovo charger is covered by warranty!
Just a thought... Zehn

Install HWinfo32, check whether your CPU is throttling (put your machine under full performance) when your laptop is charging.
