Upgrade Y570 0862 Memory?

Hi, I recently purchased a Lenovo IdeaPad Y570 0862 that came loaded with 8GB of memory. The guy at the store said that I could upgrade to 12GB by replacing one to the 4GB sticks with an 8GB model.

I'm shopping for an 8GB stick online, but I'm confused about which one will function correctly in my laptop. Will this Patriot Gamer memory work for me:

If not, does anybody know what will work?

hi frotu.
the ram you're planning to order is for desktop computers.
it won't work with/on your y570.

about 8gb ram stick, i was gonna suggest you to buy kingston but i couldn't find any 8gb ram.

Thanks, yigit! That would definitely be the wrong type to buy . I don't know much about computers, I'll admit.

An 8GB stick for my laptop MUST exist, because they wanted to sell me one at Fry's. I just figured I could find a better price online. I suppose I can ask the Fry's guy who manufactures the 8GB RAM they stock.
