My 6 week old Lenovo V570 will no longer power up,
confirmed battery and power supply are working fine
talk to a tech on the phone and the recommendation is to send it to the service center for repair. Bu tthe problem is I am NOT currently in the USA! Ugh!
I'm working in Hong Kong at the moment
and the Honk Kong service center will not honor the warranty!!! can you believe that!?
My freakin glaopt is less then 2 months old!!!
what are these things dispoable?
I've recommned to my company not to buy Lenovo products (we all travel alot and this is warranty is not acceptable)
for for the next 6 months while I'm out in HK I will not have a laptop.
Need to look for a new one this weekend, any NON-Lenoovo recommendations? maybe a Dell or HP?

got some helpful news (saracm)
I can ship it back to Lenovo USA through which will cost me $342.78 USD through DHL
and they will fix it and ship it back to my US address, where I can have a relative pick it up and then reship it back to me for ~350USD
so total repair bill will be ~$692.00

Interesting problem. If you are lucky, this strange effect can be caused by a malfunctioning driver/ software. First step, do a clean OS instalation. Hope it helps.

Here's an updat on my situation
Lenovo HK service will not honor my warranty.
So the only way to get it fixed is to ship it 1/2 way around the world back to the US
then Lenovo USA will ship it to my US residence, then have someone ship it bakc out to me in HK!
I don't have this problem with my company's Dell laptops
