I bought the machine 2 weeks ago with 8G ram in it.
Does it still have room for memory upgrade or has it reached the limit already?
thanks

This site reckons This system can be upgraded to max. 16GB memory. There are 2 memory slots. but that's news to me.

Thanks for the link, I really hope that's true.
I found another link suggesting 8G is the top density already (hope not)
http://www.crucial.com/store/listparts.aspx?model=
While their statement is a bit confusing
'Maximum Memory: 8GB
Slots: 2
Each memory slot can hold DDR3 PC3-10600, DDR3 PC3-12800 with a maximum of 8GB Kit (4GBx2) per slot.*
*Not to exceed manufacturer supported memory.
Has anyone got some offcial info from Lenovo?

the intel chipset can support 16 gigs of ram, at the time of production only 4 gigs ram module was available commercially, as such the maximum ram was rated at 8 gigs when in actuality 16 gigs is the max when you used 2 x 8 gigs ram modules.
