Re: Windows 7 64-bit and Drivers (Y510)

type cmd  ( admin privileges ) and type "sfc /scannow" and scan for the system errors.

are you using alternative browsers such as firefox, opera, chrome or anything else?

i am running windows 7 x64 with the y510. for the energy management, you have to use the y530 64-bit vista acpi driver, uninstall the y530 app, and use y510 energycut app.

the y530/y730 app won't work with y510.

Re: Windows 7 64-bit and Drivers (Y510)

yigit, just ran sfc and it looks like everythings good. WRP did not find any integrity violations..so im guessing all the dll files that need to be there are there and are not corrupt? so maybe it was that samsung driver giving me grief haha..

as for browser, just using firefox 3.6

thanks for the heads up zan2828, will do that right now.

Re: Windows 7 64-bit and Drivers (Y510)

I did a fresh install of Win 7 Ultimate 64 bit and it mostly worked. Main issue was only one speaker worked.  I updated the Audio driver as described on the forums and that fixed the problem.

Anyway, I'm wondering if there's any chance for Lenovo to update their site to provide Win 7 64 bit drivers for the Y510. It seems like they're out there but there is a very convuluted way to get the updates.

With my older T42P I can easily get Win 7 updates, but not on the much newer Y510? I know there are many more T42Ps out there than Y510s, but I still find this ridiculous...

Lenovo please add these drivers or at least provide a guide for how to get all the Win 7 64 bit drivers for Y510.

I would be fine with a numbered list telling me to download and install the drivers in a certain order.

------------------------------------------------------
Systems I use: T42P, T61P, Y510, A600

Re: Windows 7 64-bit and Drivers (Y510)

I upgraded my Y510 to Windows 7 32 bit.  It took awhile to get all of the drivers working, but I still can't get it to recognize the battery.  It shows that it is plugged in and charging, but the battery never charges.  It all worked perfectly find before I upgraded.

Any thoughts?
